Description

Nonprofit Management Services of Colorado (NMSC), an affiliate of Developmental Pathways and Continuum of Colorado, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to provide accounting, accounts payable, and administrative support to our Finance team. You’ll also get to provide primary Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and representative payee support as well as support our Accounts Payable team, which includes entering invoices and processing payments.

You’ll be supervised by our Controller and work out of our Inverness office location in the Denver Tech Center, Englewood, CO. We’re committed to a great work-life balance here so our offices are closed on Fridays; you’ll get to work Mondays - Thursdays. This is a full-time position at
36 hrs/week.

  • Track and distribute requested records and other information for HUD re-determinations/moves/new admittances; update and track information for HUD accounting records
  • Provide income verifications for individuals residing in HUD properties
  • Calculate rent (total tenant payments) for each tenant and process payments
  • Assist with the funding of Replacement Reserves
  • Handle day-to-day transactions and record-keeping related to representative payee accounting
  • Handle vendor inquires and internal inquiries of payment status and activity
  • Assist with invoice research and special projects
  • Assist with the reconciliation of grocery gift cards
  • Perform personal needs audits
  • Provide support for Housing Corporation audits
  • Enter data and generate database reports
  • Support Finance department with document retention and scanning; maintain needed administrative records; copy and distribute documents
Qualifications

Must have’s to be our Accounting Clerk

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting and/or two (2) years administrative experience, preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to learn and use internal and external database systems
  • Ability to multi-task; good organizational skills
  • High degree of accuracy with time sensitive, detailed information
